When the platform stops fitting

Many all-in-one hospitality platforms bundle a website, events, and email for one monthly fee. For some venues that is a fair trade. For others it starts to chafe: you pay every month for a template site, private-party inquiries land in a vendor dashboard nobody checks, and pages crawl on a phone.

If those symptoms sound familiar, it may be time to look at an owned stack. If they do not, staying put can be the right call, and I will tell you so.

What an owned stack looks like

• Astro and Tailwind on Cloudflare Pages. A static-first site that loads quickly on a phone and that you own outright.
• Keystatic CMS. A simple admin your staff use to change menus, events, and hours, with no code.
• Untappd for Business feed. Your tap list stays current on the site and on menu boards from one source.
• Brevo CRM. Guest and inquiry data lives in a system you control, not inside a vendor dashboard.

The private party pipeline

A guest submits a headcount, date, and package. Staff get an alert, the guest gets a branded reply, and a reminder fires if the inquiry is still open after a set window. The goal is that no inquiry sits unread.

What you take on

Owning the stack is not free of cost or effort. You will hold domain, hosting, CMS, and CRM subscriptions (small, but real), and someone needs to handle updates and support. That is what an optional support plan covers, and I explain the tradeoff before you sign.
